Song #4 Never Sundays - Music and Lyrics by Drew Sorrells

We were moving right along

making history

We traveled far, exploring wide

Never was our freedom drained.

On day you spoke of me so fine

Said you liked all of me

in a field of golden rays

you proclaimed your love to me.

I thought you would

always

love me.

I thought it was

for eternity

I hope, and I believed.

It was like a ritual

we'd have our best exchange.

The sun would rest its weary head

And you'd be on the phone to me.

The weeks went by

a pattern grew

the Sundays fell away.

We kept our visits, our rendezvous

but one thing's never been the same.

You never call me

on Sundays.

You never think of me,

on that oh so sacred day,

what should I believe,

what do I believe?!

Eventually I put my heart

on some sort of hold.

You didn't notice

how sad I was,

that I cold feel you getting cold.

You caught yourself drifting back

thinking about your history.

Into that old impossible dream

and still one thing hasn't changed.

You never call me

on Sundays.

You never think of me.

Are you swimming in sad memories,

what should I believe?
